whiff \'wiff\ v - 1. To throw or toss, usu. with great force; "Look at buddy whiff that ball -- he's some good pitcher." 2. Used to denote excessive speed or an out-of-control situation, usu. used in the gerundive and almost always coupled with the ubiquitous Maritime pronoun, "her"; "Me and dad were just whiffen'er down the road in the new car."
