Teronno \ter-'ah-noh\ n - Also: Terannah; Toronto, capital city of Ontario, and the largest city in Canada; "Eunice's boy is workin' up in Teronno now." It is worth mentioning that, by and large, County residents only pronounce the letter "t" when it is located at the beginning of a word. Typically, the hard consonant is replaced with a soft "n" in the middle of words (as in Teronno), or a softer, almost guttural sound (a phonetic that's practically impossible to spell) when used at the end of words, such as in "don't" or "want." See also: Chicargo, Detroyit.
